PADI specialty courses let you develop specific skills and discover new dimensions of diving. Each specialty is 2–4 dives focused on one topic. You receive a PADI Specialty Diver certificate, and after completing 5 specialties with 50 dives logged, you can earn the prestigious PADI Master Scuba Diver rating — the highest non-professional level.

Deep Diver
Dives deeper than 18m, up to the recreational maximum of 40m. Planning, techniques and potential hazards of deep diving: managing nitrogen narcosis, air consumption control, using dive computers for decompression calculations. 4 dives from 18 to 40m with gradual depth increase. Min. age 15, AOW required. An essential specialty for serious divers.

3 night dives — an unforgettable experience! Specialized torches, entry/exit techniques in darkness, underwater navigation at night, meeting nocturnal creatures. Corals open their polyps, nocturnal predators emerge, shrimp glow in your torch beam, octopuses hunt on the reef. Light communication with your buddy, night dive planning. Min. age 12, OW required.

Navigation by natural landmarks and compass, distance estimation, various underwater routes: straight courses, square and triangular patterns. One of the most practical specialties — these skills are invaluable for independent diving, night diving and divemaster work. 3 dives focused on orientation. Min. age 10, OW required.

The PADI SEA method (Shoot, Examine, Adjust). Selecting cameras and housings, three principles of great underwater photos, photo editing. Working with natural light and strobes, composition, macro photography (nudibranchs, shrimp) and wide-angle shooting (reefs, fish schools). We provide cameras for those without their own equipment. 2 dives. Min. age 10, no certification required.

Diving on sunken objects. Torches, reels, specialized equipment, dives in limited visibility conditions. Safe exterior wreck survey, penetration using line, history of sunken objects, buoyancy and navigation near structures. The Samui and Koh Tao area has several interesting wrecks for training. 4 dives. Min. age 15, AOW required.

The most popular PADI specialty course in the world. Increased no-decompression time with enriched air (32–36% oxygen instead of 21%). Gas mix analysis, nitrox dive planning. You can dive longer and feel more energized after dives. Course includes theory and 2 nitrox dives. Perfectly complements multi-dive days. Min. age 15, OW required.

Diving techniques in currents. Buoys, lines, buoyancy control, orientation, buddy communication. Drift diving is when the current carries you along the reef and you glide effortlessly. Using surface marker buoys (SMB), boat and buddy communication. Especially relevant for Sail Rock and Koh Tao where currents are common. 2 dives in current. Min. age 12, OW required.

Fish search and identification methodology, counting and census of underwater inhabitants. You'll learn to identify major families and species of tropical fish: butterflyfish, angelfish, parrotfish, groupers, moray eels, rays, sharks and many others. Classification theory, field guides and 2 dives dedicated to observation and identification. After the course, the underwater world opens up from a whole new perspective. Min. age 10, OW required.

A specialty for everyone who dives from various types of vessels. You'll master equipment stowage on board, water entry/exit from a boat, using the descent line. Rules of conduct on board, communication with captain and crew. 2 boat dives. Min. age 10, OW required.

Dives in the light zone of caves. Orientation in caverns, using lines, torches, reserve air. The course teaches safe cavern diving techniques — cave zones where natural light is always visible. 4 training dives. Min. age 18, AOW required.
