Japanese Gardens — Koh Nang Yuan Dive Site

Shallow coral garden off Koh Nang Yuan — perfect for beginners and snorkeling

Japanese Gardens Dive Site

Japanese Gardens is located on the southwest side of Koh Nang Yuan, next to Koh Tao. It is one of the most beautiful shallow dive sites in the Gulf of Thailand. The seabed is covered with diverse coral formations resembling a Japanese landscape garden — hence the name. Soft and hard corals form 'hills' and 'valleys' with sandy passages between them. The site is perfect for beginner divers, Open Water students and snorkelers. Wildlife: clownfish, angelfish, butterflyfish, blue-spotted stingray, sea turtle (green and hawksbill), sea snake, titan triggerfish, parrotfish, moray eel, nudibranchs.
